My Scary Girl, based on a South Korean film, is about the romance between a shy young English professor and a charming serial killer. The show was performed simultaneously at Korea’s Daegu International Musical Fesitval and at Barrington Stage's Theater Lab in July 2008, before opening in Seoul in March 2009 for a five-month run. A touring version of the Korean production went on to win Best Musical at the 2009 New York Musical Festival.
